Frequently Asked Questions

Who will my anaesthetist be?

It will be a member of the Mid-Warwickshire Chambers - see 'Our Consultants' above. The name of the individual anaesthetist will be known two weeks in advance, and you can call our Practice Manager on 01926 436311 who will be able to help you. However, all the major insurers recognise the Mid-Warwickshire Anaesthetists and are happy to accept that name.

Will I see my anaesthetist before my operation?

Yes, the anaesthetist will visit you in your room prior to your operation, and you can raise any concerns you may have at that time.

Where can I find out more about my anaesthetic?

The Royal College of Anaesthetists has produced some excellent guides to provide useful information about your anaesthetic. They can be found here.

I am very concerned about the whole process of having an anaesthetic - Can I see the anaesthetist to discuss it?

Yes, that can easily be arranged. Please contact our Practice Manager and she will be happy to help you.
